The time series visualization is useful when trying to compare an indicator across year.
The page contains the control bars (top and bottom) and the data visualization of time series. The layout of time series includes the title of current visualization (top left), the legend (top right) and the time series (main body). The image below shows the annotations for time series layout.
The dotted line in time series represents the indicator value over the years. For example, in the graph below, each line represent a region of RLS from 2002 to 2014. If geo stratification is dropped and 5-year age stratification is selected, then the dotted lines represents the different age groups.
The graph below shows the annotations of the features in time series and annotations are directed by the blue arrows.
Users can select a line by clicking on 1) the dot on the corresponding line, or 2) the name of the line in the legend. The selected line is highlighted in teal. The data in this view can be downloaded as an image or as a CSV file.
The lines in the time series view can be added or deleted according to the data filter and stratification selected by users using the control bar at bottom. The image below shows the layout when geo and sex stratifications are selected. The solid lines and dotted lines are represent the male and female population for each RSS region, respectively. If the total number of lines are below a certain number, the colored scheme is used to distinguish lines instead of using a single color of grey. If no stratification is selected, the benchmark value will be displayed and the benchmark value is the value for the whole population.
